This is my very first tutorial. It's about creating swirls in Inkscape. It should be very easy to follow. If you don't have Inkscape yet, download it at [link] for free.
Try this tutorial, you will see, it's a fast and easy way to achieve a wonderful effect with better results than drawing by hand.

Compare to some of the other inkscape tutorials I've seen, this is pretty simple. Never the less, I like how you did this tutorial as it is easy to follow.

Thanks for this tutorial, it really helped! I was having issues with it for a minute with step 4. My swirl was going on my pattern, instead of vise a versa, but I figured out that you don't have to choose the pattern first...the pattern just has to be the top most in your selections....like layer topmost. I am in Inkscape .46 so it may of changed a little. Just thought I would let you know!
